The Community Lutheran Church (ELCA) is searching for a pastor to serve a congregation in Enfield, NH. Enfield, NH is a small community in the Upper Connecticut River Valley. It serves as a bedroom community to the neighboring towns of Lebanon and Hanover, the sites of major employers such as Dartmouth College, Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, and high tech companies such as Hypertherm and Timken Aerospace. The town is socially and economically diverse and provides many recreational opportunities. The Veteran’s Medical Center in White River Junction, VT, is approximately 12 miles from the church.

It was organized by a group of former board members of Bay Village( Presbyterian Home here in Sarasota)-Rather than expanding Bay Village they decided to establish a new non-denominational community.

What does a CCRC Chaplain Do?
Basic Educational Requirements
4 year college degree
3 years of Seminary in a recognized Faith Denomination and Ordination
Maintain membership in denomination
1 Unit ( at least) of Basic Clinical Pastoral Training ( chaplaincy)
Must be open, friendly, able to serve people of all Faiths and no or non-ers.
Regular visits with residents of Carroll Center and Highlands and their family.
Visits as requested with Independent Living Residents and their family.
Provide hospital visitation if needed, support patients returning from hospital.
Maintain communication with family members of residents receiving care.
Make contacts and develop relationship with local pastors and their official
Visitation personnel re. Patient status.
Contact pastors of residents when they are admitted.
Maintain regular and partnering relartionships
and The Glenridge.
Arrange for/assist/coordinate small groups opportunities including existing
Bible Study, Prayer groups.
Possibly teach a course in Bible , Spiritual life.
Design, or organize, or implement, assist or coordinate primary leadership
for Vespers, Jewish, Roman Catholic celebrations or events with the
Spiritual Life Committee.
Possibly offer Sunday Morning worship as deemed feasible.
Assist in recruitment of outside Vesper Worship leaders.
Coordinate Special services and events around the Church year or Interfaith
Provide bulletins for Vesper Services and Memorial services when visiting
Worship Leadership cannot do so.
Be available to conduct Memorial and Remembrance Services.
Be a practitioner of Active Listening.
Available with open door to all Staff and Residents, listener, care, support.
Develop a network of professionals for referral on special needs.
Develop a strong team and partnership openness with all staff and residents.
